We met the "Bennington Group" for a 3 day camping trip. Kaw Lake is in north-central Oklahoma and is located east of Ponca City near Kaw City. Kaw Lake has 168 miles of shoreline and 17,040 surface acres. Kaw Lake is another great fishing lake located along the Arkansas River System just below the Oklahoma-Kansas border. It is known for producing some of the largest catfish in Oklahoma. Danny and I left on Wednesday, June 24 and returned home on June 29th. We spent a lot of time at the beach because the temperatures reached 104 degrees for two of the three days. I found a map of the lake so that you can see just how big it is. We stayed at Osage Cove which is on the lower right corner of the lake, not too far from the dam. We really enjoyed spending time with everyone.
