Danny and I went to the movies this weekend. Almost everyone knows that I'm a "reader" not a movie person, but I had seen the previews for this and thought I would like it. I love football, so I think that's why I thought that. I wasn't disappointed either. Sandra Bullock did a fantastic job with her role, as did everyone in the movie. It's a true story and was made off of the book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game, written by Michael Lewis. It's about a kid named Michael Oher who was living on the streets when he was welcomed into the home of a conservative suburban family, but over time he matured into a talented athlete. As the NFL draft approaches, fans and sports radio personalities alike speculate that Oher will be the hottest pick of the year. He did go in the first round of the draft in 2009, which is huge for a offensive lineman, and is currently playing for the Baltimore Ravens. The movie came out in November and passed $200 million dollar mark in January. We both gave it a thumbs up!
